The tour starts by meeting in front of the exhibition and reference room at the” Yonabaru Station of The Light Railways”. First, you’ll visit “Soumanushi”, a shrine dedicated to the founders of Yonabaru village.
Next stop is “Achiri-yuunushi”. Then, go to see the Imperial Guardian Lions carved out of stone. Next is “Lumber Street” where you can still see the remains of the old port town prospered by the Yanbarusen (ships that brought lumber from the northern part of Okinawa).
After that, you’ll go to see “Udunyama”, one of the places of prayer for the Agari Umaai. At this Udunyama, there was an “Okariya”, a rest area for the Kikoe Oogami during her ascendance ceremony during the Ryukyu Kingdom Era. You’ll then visit another place of prayer for the Agari Umaai, “Uegaa”, followed by a visit to “The Tsunahiki Museum” established by Yonabaru. The tour ends with a walk back to “The Yonabaru Station of The Light Railways”.
・Admission time is 30 min. prior to the tour starting time. Please come to the meeting place at least 10 min. before the tour starts.
